GENERAL MANAGER
Bob Bigwood has
been with Niagara Structural Steel for over 35 years in various capacities,
progressively advancing from Drafting, Production Scheduling, Estimating,
Contract Co-Ordination, Project Management and Plant Management, to this
current position.
CONTRACT MANAGER Jim Streadwick joined us in 1967 with eight years previous experience in construction, primarily in the sugar manufacturing industry. Jim was appointed Construction Manager in 1978, and appointed Contracts Manager in 1986, retaining responsibility for construction.
SALES MANAGER George Tyas joined Niagara Structural Steel as Chief Estimator in 1982 after holding the position of Plant Superintendent at Norak Steel. George has more than 30 years experience in the steel industry and has successfully advanced through the areas of Production Control, Scheduling, Estimating and Shopcosting, to his current position
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER Domenic Cherubin
joined Niagara as Construction Manager in 1997 with 27 successful years in the industry. Mr. Cherubin served his apprenticeship in the Ironworker trade, and has worked as a Journeyman, Foreman and General Foreman on a wide variety of projects. Previous employers include Dominion Bridge, Marshall Steel and Frankel. Successful projects include the Skydome Hotel, numerous steel mill projects, and high rise buildings.
CHIEF DRAFTSMAN Richard (Dick) Harvey came to us as Chief Draftsman in 1998. He has more than 40 years experience in the detailing and engineering side of the structural industry and has worked on a wide variety of projects such as North Sea Oil Rigs, nuclear power plants, bridges, mill building, high rise buildings and most types of industrial projects. Dick is responsible for all aspects required to generate final fabrication and erection drawings.
PLANT MANAGER Lou Upper
has been with Niagara Structural Steel since 1959. Lou started out as a Chainman and earned his practical experience by working in the shop through all facets of the business. In 1981 he became the Paint and Shipping Foreman, and in 1982 Lou was appointed to his present position as Shop Superintendent.
